Senior WordPress Developer PHP, React, Node.js

Your tasks

• Conception of new features in our team + implementation of these in existing WordPress plugins
• Enhancement & optimization of the UX/UI of existing plugins
• Integration of REST APIs of external services into WordPress plugins with ecosystem-specific characteristics
• Development of new ideas and implementation of WordPress plugins (incl. ownership) within our monorepo
• Understanding WordPress code from third party developers to design and implement integrations and compatibilities with collaborative partners
• Mutual code reviews to ensure and increase the quality of our development work on an ongoing basis
• Technical support for new WordPress plugins for which you have taken ownership

Your expertise

• Education and/or studies in business informatics, computer science or comparable fields
• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in WordPress plugin development. Action and filter system in the WordPress ecosystem are your specialization
• PHP in “modern”: namespaces, autoloading etc. are no foreign words for you
• WordPress REST API consuming and endpoints defining (no more admin-ajax!)
• TypeScript and modern >=ES6 JavaScript are familiar to you and you have a rough idea how this can be combined with WordPress
• React knowledge, especially with modern React hooks
• Ability to work independently
• Confident with Visual Studio Code (remote) and Git
• Documentation of decisions is routine for you
• Not afraid to give everyone a “duh” from the start and treat them humanely
• Burning to share successes and defeats with colleagues at all times
• You can give and accept feedback to grow together on it
• German and English fluent/fluent (we work bilingually).
